Why Volunteer: Volunteers are essential to maintaining a positive and instructive experience for our youth players. Volunteers help Mason football stay financially sound by raising funds and providing services that would otherwise be forgone or paid from higher registration fees. Through Volunteers, MYF has additional funds for newer equipment, use of all-weather facilities, more instructional support and a family value fee structure. And, volunteering with others is a satisfying way for parents to experience the Mason football community as their children progress through the high school ages.
What is needed: MYF families are expected to volunteer for 6 hours for each of the teams they play on each season. Adult volunteers are needed to man the admission gates, concession stand, and cameras during televised games. Typically, parents can volunteer for time slots immediately before their child’s game. The MYF uses the SignUpGenius website to manage time slots, notify volunteers and track volunteer hours. Coaches and Team Managers have additional volunteer opportunities for equipment handout/pickup, field administration, and coaching clinics. Families that provide 6 hours of volunteer time will receive a $35 refund at the end of the season.
All Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Managers must register on the Coach MYF page of this website. Talk to your team head coach about the registration process.
